As the month of October draws to an end, I'd like to say I will complete my goal of wearing something pink everyday in the month of October for the 2nd year in a row.
Now this may not seem like such a big accomplishment, but for me it is. You see, I'm the guy that doesn't wear pink, ever. The only pink shirts I own are ones that support Breast Cancer Awareness. I just cannot pull the color off. Which is why I think it makes it more special when I wear it everyday in October. I don't have a lot of extra money to lend financial support to places like the Komen Foundation and the like, but I hope that by taking a picture of my bracelet or ribbon each day will remind someone else that they can make a difference.
By posting my pictures like this on Facebook and Twitter, I caught the attention of the Zeta's of Texas A&M and had the honor to go judge their Big Man On Campus event that supported Breast Cancer Awarness.
Thanks so much for letting me be apart of the event ladies, it was a great time!
There are so many great charities and organizations that need our support, this is just a small way that I feel that I can help. I hope and pray that my friends and folks who follow my silly posts will find something that they are passionate about and help out in whatever way they can.
On one final note about Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let's have a laugh, shall we?
I only thought I got really excited about boobies!
And one last one about getting checked out:
