The first concert I ever went to was back in 1992 or '93. I was a big Travis Tritt fan at that time. He had just started his climb in his career, John Anderson was also there. The main reason for going though was George Jones. I was 9 or 10, so I wasn't as aware of George's legend status at the time. Matter of fact, I think that I might have slept through most of his performance. Hey I was a kid and didn't know any better, ha!
As the years went on and I began to find myself musically, I remember developing a strong appreciation for George Jones. Perhaps my favorite song of his, was the incomparable "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes?"
This song is as true today as it was in 1985. Lots of love and prayers have been sent out from today's country stars and other country legends. Check below to see the condolences of the country music world.
