Roy Gene Munse
|
Roy Gene Munse has been on and off the 98.3 airwaves since the 1970s. Mostly on. He was first attracted to the B/CS area because it had a big-time college football team and you could buy beer on Sundays. He came to town with nothing but a nickel and a shoelace. Last week the shoelace broke. Roy Gene is currently part of the popular, prestigious ROGER & ROY MORNING SHOW. He is the smart one. |
Brandie Alexander |
Howdy! I’m Brandie Alexander – Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of ’93. WHOOP! I’m married to my little cuddle cakes – he loves it when I call him that and I have a 5-year-old step son, Aiden. I love a good tennis match, a suspenseful book, a thrilling movie, college football and Texas country music…did I mention pina coladas and getting caught in the rain? When I grow up I want to be…wait, does that mean I’d have to get a real job? On second thought, I don’t want to grow up…cause I’m a toys r us kid! I live my life according to the inspiring words of my boot camp coach, Dave, “Give it all you got now, cause what you don’t give is gone forever.” |

I was born outside of Cleveland, Ohio, but spent some time growing up in Granbury, Texas (Go Pirates). After that it was college at Texas A&M where I picked up a B.S. (don't get cute, that's Bachelor of Science) in Meteorology, which of course prepared me for a career in radio (now I'm getting cute). I'm a big fan of Texas Country music. It started when I was invited to a Kevin Fowler show in Taylor, Texas (Go Ducks, right). It was when "Speak of the Devil" was popular song. I didn't know him or any of his songs outside of "Speak of the Devil". When we got there, there was a big crowd and they were singing his songs. I knew then that there was a market for Texas Country on the radio because those people singing Kevin's songs weren't just fans of Kevin, but they were also fans of Pat Green, Roger Creager, Robert Earl Keen, Cory Morrow, Jack Ingram and others. After that, I got hooked on Texas Country concerts and have been playing Texas Country music on the radio since. So if you're at a show here in Aggieland, maybe I'll see ya there. |
Rowdy
|
I'm a good ol Brazos Valley boy, born and raised in right here in Bryan. I married my high school sweetheart, Mrs. Rowdy (and I mean that in every sense of the word), in 1993. I did a stint in the Marine Corps which moved us to the Carolinas. My last year in the Marines I was deployed to Africa and was part of Operation Assured Response. I'm proud to be a Marine and proud to be an American! Ooh-Rah! |

Down on the farm is where you would find me up to my neck in vegetables, a few cats, dogs accompanied by the nicest miniature donkey west of the Missisp. I am currently studying Telecommunications & Media Studies WITH a minor in Sport Management at Texas A&M University…WHOOP! I enjoy all sports, would rather play than study, and hang out with anyone who will keep me company. I first got into music when I was about six years old riding shotgun with my Pop singing along to the great Earnest Tubbs, or Hank (The real one) and the King, Bob Wills. That shortly evolved into looking for trouble in my sister’s mustang jamming to Ragweed, RRB, or Pat. Nowadays, I listen to it all, but my heart is with the Texas. Check out Lorrie Lynn and I as we shake up the evenings and put a smile on your face…and still manage to play great Texas and Red Dirt Music! |
