Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum recently had the chance to share some motherly words of wisdom with expectant mother-to-be Carrie Underwood about taking her baby on the road.
1) Don't freak out – sure, you have to split your brain between Mommy mode Carrie and Carrie Underwood, country music superstar, but you will find a way
2) Don't tiptoe around the baby. He's going to have to get used to the noise. He needs to be able to sleep anywhere.
3) Do focus on the layout of your tour bus. Make sure the walls are padded and have monitors installed throughout so that when he's in the back and you're in the front, you can still see and hear him.
And finally, my advice to Carrie Underwood. SLEEP when the baby is sleeping. I know the urge is to get as much done as you can while the baby is sleeping but then you're exhausted when they're awake. The only thing worse than a cranky baby is a cranky mommy.
