COLE SWINDELL'S full name is Colden Rainy Swindell.  Yep, just like "cold and rainy."  He says, "It kind of sounds like a weather forecast.  Caught a lot of heat for that as a kid, but I'm proud of it.  I was named after my granddaddy. He always said not to forget where I came from."

BLAKE SHELTON got a shout-out from the International Space Station on Saturday.  He sent this Tweet to astronaut Mike Hopkins, "How's my man @Astrollini tonight?"  And about an hour later Hopkins Tweeted back, "Living the dream!  Nine days to go before we close the hatch and head back to earth."

Sunday's Oscars Were the Most-Watched in 10 Years
Sunday's Oscars attracted an estimated 43 million viewers . . . making it the most-watched Academy Award ceremony since 2004, when 43.5 million tuned in.  That's the year that the third "Lord of the Rings" movie took home Best Picture.

This year's show was up around 3 million from last year's ceremony, which drew 40.3 million viewers.  That's pretty impressive, since 67% of Americans hadn't seen ANY of the nine Best Picture nominees.

Over the past 13 years, the Oscars have been up-and-down, but it's always had at least 32 million viewers.

The post-Oscars episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" scored just under 7 million viewers, which was Kimmel's biggest post-Oscars audience in the nine years he's been doing it.

And according to Nielsen's Social Guide, there were 11.2 million tweets about the show, with overall Oscar "social media activity" up from last year by 75%.

Even though the numbers were good, ELLEN DEGENERES and the show itself received mixed reviews from the critics.  For better or worse, she basically stuck to her comfort zone . . . much like she did when she hosted back in 2007
