This past Sunday we went to the Franklin Drive Thru Safari and it was a blast. I had no idea that place even existed until just a few weeks ago. We were on our way home from the Waco Zoo and saw a billboard in Calvert (of all places) talking about the family fun exerience. That it was.
We did the whole drive thru part twice – once with feed and once without. The animals, as you can see from the picture of Aiden and his new buddy, the white buffalo, come right up to the car. In fact, most of them stuck their heads inside. FYI – I recommend wearing an old shirt just in case a camal sneezes on you. That's right, there were camals…and zebras…and deer…and goats…and llamas…and kangaroos…and monkeys…and more.
There's also a small petting zoo packed with baby goats and sheep. Emrie and Evan loved that part.
If your looking for something fun to do with your kids, I highly recommend the Franklin Drive Thru Safari. It's a short drive from B/CS. Your kids will love it. And, so will you.
