The Three Most Disgusting Things in a Hotel Room

If you stay at a NICE hotel, this stuff might not apply.  But if you're at the cheapest place in town, you'll thank us.  Here are the three grossest things you come in contact with in a hotel room.

1.  The remote.  A study in 2012 found that remote controls and light switches are two of the dirtiest things in hotel rooms, because everyone touches them and they hardly ever get cleaned.

2.  The drinking glasses.  Fox News used hidden cameras in 2007, and discovered that a lot of maids don't even wash them out.  Or if they do, they just spray them with GLASS cleaner.

3.  The comforter.  Specifically the part that covers the foot of the bed, because a lot of people sit there and maids don't always wash them.  It's also the spot people with kids are most likely to change a diaper.

Five Actors Who Apologized for Their Crappy Movies

It takes a lot to admit when you're wrong.  But when the ENTIRE WORLD sees your screw-ups, at some point you pretty much have to fess up.  Which is why . . . usually YEARS later . . . actors will often admit they made a bad movie.  Here are five examples:

BRAD PITT played an IRA terrorist in the 1997 movie "The Devil's Own".  He later called it, quote, "the most irresponsible bit of filmmaking, if you can even call it that, that I've ever seen."

JAMES FRANCO had a very simple take on "Your Highness" . . . quote, "It sucks.  You can't get around that."

MARK WAHLBERG thought the premise of "The Happening" was as ridiculous as the rest of us did . . . quote, "[Effing] trees, man.  The plants.  [Eff] it."

"Red Sonja" was BRIGITTE NIELSEN's big break.  But it was almost ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER's downfall.  He calls it, quote, "the worst movie I have ever made."

But SYLVESTER STALLONE can one-up that.  He called "Stop!  Or My Mom Will Shoot", quote, "maybe one of the worst films in the entire solar system, including alien productions we've never seen."

Now There's Going to be a Male Version of "Ghostbusters" . . . Possibly with Channing Tatum

COUNTRY NEWS

"Voice" Contestant Meghan Linsey Explains Why She Left Country for Soul

Country fans remember MEGHAN LINSEY as the cute blonde in STEEL MAGNOLIA, the duo she was in with ex-boyfriend Joshua Scott Jones.  But people who watch "The Voice" are also experiencing her as a SOUL singer, which is actually where she started out.

She tells "Billboard", quote, "I grew up in New Orleans, and soul music is my favorite thing to sing.  As I go on ["The Voice"] and am in the studio making new music, I really am trying to get back to my roots.

"It's a good time for me to explore more of that soul side of what I do."

Meghan knows that some people think it's unfair for a veteran like her to be on "The Voice".  To that she says, quote, "I've heard a comment or two that are like, 'Oh, she had her shot' or 'Her career is over.'

"I'm 29, and I've worked so hard and don't believe in giving up on a dream.  I'm grateful that 'The Voice' does allow people who've had careers to come on the show like this and reintroduce themselves, giving an opportunity for a second chance."

(In case you missed it, here is the blind audition that got Meghan onto the show.  Blake was the only one who didn't turn for her rendition of "Love Hurts".  The other three judges hit their buttons at the same time.  She chose Pharrell.)
