TikTok Trend Has Bosses Worried

No More Two-Week Notice?
Should you just leave a job with ZERO notice? On TikTok, #NoTwoWeekNotice has been trending, with the argument being given that employers don’t give a two-week notice when they fire you.
If you’re working in a place that’s making you miserable, you may only be thinking about how to leave. However, if you have a history of burning bridges, it could potentially cost you the new position you really want. Of course, if you’re working in dangerous conditions or have a boss that won’t recognize an emergency situation, those are totally different issues than just walking out the door when you’ve had enough.
It should be noted that a two-week notice is generally something people do when leaving on good terms. According to Business News Daily, legally it isn’t required, but it’s common practice when someone quits. Businesses still must abide by state laws that govern final paychecks and accrued paid time off even if an employee leaves suddenly. That said, you should probably still try to let someone know you’re heading out the door before it hits your backside. Just in case.
