Colt -The Fightin' Texas Aggie

Howdy, I'm Fightin' Texas Aggie Colt, Class of 2014!

My life is defined on account of 3 things:
  1. The Almighty God, family, and friends
  2. A quote: "Every calling is great when every calling is pursued."
  3. Music
Music is such a huge part of our lives on account of it can change the way we think, feel, and love in a matter of just a few seconds.  Whether we want to be inspired by U2, uplifted by Christian music, happy by Florida-Georgia line, or get in the zone with some rock’n’roll like ACDC or Van Halen, music is the spirit of the world.

50th Wedding Anniversary! What an Accomplishment!

My grandparents David and Martha Gresham celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past weekend. I remember when I was younger wanting to be just like them, only instead of reaching 50 years; I wanted to make it to my 75th wedding anniversary.

Pretty ridiculous, right? Who knows… the way technology is going maybe… just maybe it can still happen.

Even so, I marvel at their love for one another and being able to stick beside one another for 50 years… and counting! They are a true inspiration to me and in honor of their anniversary I decided to put together a playlist for them this past Saturday at the reception.

It’s a playlist that honors things such as their endless love, the music they listened to growing up, and the countless number of trips they made to Branson, Missouri to listen to some of their favorite country singers. It was in Branson where they took me to see my first ever show of the legendary, train whistle blowin’ Boxcar Willie!

Let me know what you think of the playlist I have posted below along with some youtube videos of some of country’s greats… maybe I could have my own Gold Mine Show before too long??? Haha we’ll leave that be for now!

Congratulations again Nana and Papa for 50 unbelievable years… 50 more, here we come!
