Howdy, I'm Fightin' Texas Aggie Colt, Class of 2014!
My life is defined on account of 3 things:
The Almighty God, family, and friends
A quote: "Every calling is great when every calling is pursued."
Music is such a huge part of our lives on account of it can change the way we think, feel, and love in a matter of just a few seconds. Whether we want to be inspired by U2, uplifted by Christian music, happy by Florida-Georgia line, or get in the zone with some rock’n’roll like ACDC or Van Halen, music is the spirit of the world.

Howdy everyone! Colt here with my very FIRST official blog post! In honor of my first blog post, I thought I would let you get to know me a little better by making a list of my favorite things in life. These things ought to give you a good idea about my “fun-loving” personality and the many things that define me as an individual.
Alright, first off is my obvious love of country music. Apparently I loved it before I was even born! How, you ask? Well, my parents went to a George Strait concert while I was just chillin’ in the womb. Evidently, as soon the “King of Country” started singing, my mother’s belly started thumping… and thumping… and thumping… ALL night long to the beat of the music! So I am proud to say that it all began with good ol’ George. Although, not to sound cliché, my favorite country artists would have to be Keith Urban, Kenney Chesney, and Eric Church. But if it’s country, it works for me!
I’m an AVID sports fan. Nothing has me more passionate than watching my Aggies play on a Saturday, watching Dale Earnhardt Jr. race it up on Sunday, and watching my Texas Rangers and Houston Astros hit up every other day of the week. I think everyone has a celebrity hero, it just turns out I have two of them: Craig Biggio and Dale Earnhardt Jr. The two moments I can remember most in life is watching Biggio get his 3000th career hit, which I have on my iPod. And watching Dale Jr. win the Pepsi 400 at the very track that killed his father the very same year in 2001.
Dale Jr. Winning the Pepsi 400 (Yes I did cry) lol
3. I always have to give a shout out to my family for always backing me up from playing Dixie Youth baseball to becoming a Texas FFA State officer. They have truly been the light of my life and have supported me in everything… especially RADIO!
4. Lastly, some of my favorite hobbies and interests have to be good ol’ East Texas stuff like hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. I’m almost certain it’s engrained in my DNA to love that stuff. I will never miss an opportunity to play slow pitch softball. I am also slowly picking up golf. I took a golf class at A&M and found out that it’s not as frustrating as it seems. I also love being around people that care about ya and never miss an opportunity to go cut a rug at Hurricane Harry’s or any other place. Finally, when I’m not listening to some great country music, you’ll find me listening to music from artists like U2 and Coldplay. I will say though, my favorite song of all time just happens to be the one posted below.
