Howdy, I'm Fightin' Texas Aggie Colt, Class of 2014!
My life is defined on account of 3 things:
The Almighty God, family, and friends
A quote: "Every calling is great when every calling is pursued."
Music is such a huge part of our lives on account of it can change the way we think, feel, and love in a matter of just a few seconds. Whether we want to be inspired by U2, uplifted by Christian music, happy by Florida-Georgia line, or get in the zone with some rock’n’roll like ACDC or Van Halen, music is the spirit of the world.
Good luck Jake "Worthy"ington! He's "worthy" of being the CHAMP!

The season 5 finale of NBC’s hottest new show, “The Voice,” premieres tonight with a great set of artists from pop to classic country.
Representing country music tonight will be Justin Moore, Tim McGraw, and Alabama (probably my all-time favorite country band).
Of course the real story on the show tonight is not the acts performing, but the answer of the question, “Who will be the season 5 winner?”
If you have been an avid watcher from the beginning and a country music fan then you know the answer is obvious (with slight bias)… Jake Worthington. A good ol’ country boy from Houston, TX who loves to show pigs and do all of the little things all country folks love to do.
There is no doubt Jake is a character on the show. That’s why he and Blake seemingly work so well together. But you know, as I have watched Jake throughout this show, I have slowly come to love is singing more and more. I’m not just admitting that because I’m a huge country music fan. That’s coming from a person who is passionate about music.
Now, I’ll gladly admit the other two contestants: Josh Kauffman and Christina Grimmie undoubtedly have two of the most unique voices I have ever heard. Jake Worthington though… man alive does that kid have a voice.
Last week, I believe his performance of “Heaven” was the best renditions of that song I had ever heard. I went straight to iTunes after he sang it. It was AMAZING! I have it posted below. Please have a listen.
When he first started singing, I tried and tried and tried to pick him apart. After I told myself to finally just sit back and listen… I had chills for the rest of the song. To this day, a week later, I play the song everyday and get chills every time I hear it.
Last night, I wouldn’t venture far to say he almost outperformed Blake when they sang a duet of Hank Williams Jr.’s “A Country Boy Can Survive.” Given Blake has so much more experience, he obviously nailed it, but with so much raw talent that Jake has… he can only get better.
I have no doubt Jake Worthington will be a star in country music, and will also give those “traditional” country music fans what they have been waiting for...
Good luck to Jake tonight! Catch “The Voice” finale tonight on NBC 8/7c.
Thanks and gig’em
