Howdy, I'm Fightin' Texas Aggie Colt, Class of 2014!
My life is defined on account of 3 things:
The Almighty God, family, and friends
A quote: "Every calling is great when every calling is pursued."
Music is such a huge part of our lives on account of it can change the way we think, feel, and love in a matter of just a few seconds. Whether we want to be inspired by U2, uplifted by Christian music, happy by Florida-Georgia line, or get in the zone with some rock’n’roll like ACDC or Van Halen, music is the spirit of the world.
Summertime means new Music Part 2!

A few weeks ago, I posted a blog about country music gearing up for summertime with new songs. Now, this is the second part ot that post with familiar artists debuting new summertime hits!
Nothing gets me more excited than new music, especially during summertime! It's the perfect time of year to dance, party, and chill to great music! Below are lyric and music videos of new country hits available from some familiar artists.
First up is the king of summer himself... Kenny Chesney. Kenny took 2014 off from touring so he could focus on creating new music for the changing times. He has finally released his first single from what looks to be his newest album coming in September. It's called "American Kids," and has a catchy ring to with lyrics that almost anyone can relate. Look for Kenny's latest single to put him back on top of summer music fame.

This next new song is from a beauty... Jana Kramer to be exact. Jana seems to be doing well ever since her and Brantley Gilbert split (I still believe I could be next in line ;) haha!
Along with her physical beauty, I would take that a step further and vouch for her beautiful country music voice. The actress from 'Click' and 'Friday Night Lights' is making quite a name for herself in the country music world. She should make quite a splash with this new summer hit called "Love." Keep it up future trophy wife ;) haha!

Now that Keith Urban has break from 'American Idol,' he can focus more on his family and music. His latest single, disappointingly, only reached number eight on the charts. As a great a song as "Cop Car" was, I believe many listeners just couldn't relate to it as much as they actually enjoyed the song itself. Nevertheless, Keith is ironically back with another car song that dives deep into his roots while keeping up with the changing times in country music. The new song also features an awesome guitar solo by the Australian himself!

The next newbie song to hit country radio stations this summer is Luke Bryan's "Roller Coaster." Luke is coming off a solid run with two singles which helped him create history as being the only artist to have to singles in the top 2 slots on the charts. Those songs were "Play it Again" and his collaboration with Florida Georgia Line's "This is How We Roll," which reached number two.
Not going to lie, I was hoping Luke's song "She gets me High" would be the next single he released from his Spring Break Album. Maybe in the near future though.
"Roller Coaster" comes off his already hot Crash My Party album and is sure to help that young couple find summer love ;)

Now, before you start criticizing me about showcasing Florida Georgia Line and non-traditional country music, I would ask that you have a close listen to this cover song they recorded of my favorite country band of all time... Alabama. The guys take this traditional great under their wing and turn it in to their own. We even get to hear Brian Kelly sing a little more than usual...
"I'm in a Hurry" Florida Georgia Line
Let me know what you think of country's newest summer hits. Oh, and pray that I get to meet Jana Kramer very, very soon!
