Six Tips for Packing a Better Party Cooler
Saturday is the official start of summer…So this advice is fairly timely…

  
1.  Get it started early.  You should pack a cooler about two hours before guests arrive.  That gives plenty of time for beer to get cold, but not enough for all the ice to melt.
 
2.  Use bagged ice.  Don't take ice out of your fridge for the cooler.  You'll need it for cocktails later.  And the bagged ice is a better size for fitting in between cans.
 
3.  Build layers.  Beer cans should go in first, then ice.  You keep it more even that way, and you can pack more in the cooler.  After that, put in bottled beer, and put wine on the top because it shouldn't be as cold.
 
4.  Pour cold water over the ice.  A pitcher of cold water will help cool drinks down faster.  For beer the ideal is a slushy mixture.
 
5.  Keep extra drinks on deck in the sink, or in a second fridge.  When the cooler goes empty, you need to have cold drinks ready to go.  No one wants to wait for beer to get cold AFTER they've started drinking.
 
6.  Have a separate ice supply for drinks.  Don't make people grab ice out of the cooler with their bare hands.  We're not animals here.

 
GLEN CAMPBELL'S oldest daughter Debby doesn't like the Alzheimer's care facility his wife Kim placed him in back in April.  She says, "My dad deserves better.  I don't think he's getting the attention that he needs. If I felt that his family in Nashville was spending hours with him and eating meals with him, it would be different.  I would like to take him home to Arizona and take care of him . . . he should be surrounded by loved ones at home."
 
 
WILLIE NELSON'S headquarters in Luck, Texas was torn apart by some recent storms.  On Monday, he posted pics on Facebook and wrote, "Our beautiful Luck wasn't so Lucky.  Last week's tornado force winds ripped several buildings apart, including the bank and the post office.  It left World Headquarters holding on by a splinter.  We are happy to report no one was hurt.  It can be rebuilt."  Willie BUILT the town of Luck on his ranch outside Austin, Texas in the 1980s to be the set of his film "Red Headed Stranger"

It's summer, TIM MCGRAW'S on tour . . . so here come the shirtless workout pics.  On Sunday he posted one of him all harnessed-up and dragging a couple of huge weight plates across the parking lot.  He wrote, "Which way to the stage?"
 

 
KENNY CHESNEY'S song "Somewhere With You" has inspired a Broadway musical of the same name.  Kinda.  The show features the music of songwriter JT Harding, who wrote that song, plus hits for JAKE OWEN and UNCLE KRACKER, to name a few.  It runs July 8th through July 13th in New York City.
 
 
MARTINA MCBRIDE invited a 16-year-old blind singer named Madie Hendrix to join her on stage during the soundcheck at her show in Huntsville, Alabama on Saturday.  Madie helped raise money for the Team Martina charity.

HANK WILLIAMS the Third is slamming of British actor TOM Hiddleston in a Bio-Pic about his Grandfather. The Avengers Villian has been cast to play the first country music super star, who died, in 1953. Hank the Third thinks Matthew McConaughey would have been a much better and or PERFECT fit for the role of the Original Hank Williams.
—However, after examining photo's we beileve Tom has an uncanny resemblance to Hank Williams.
