We’ll Take It From Here, Little Buddy

"We'll Take It From Here, Little Buddy" were the tearful words Brad Paisley said as everyone joined in the closing song "Will the Cirlce Be Unbroken" at Thursday night's tribute to Little Jimmy Dickens at the Grand Ole Oprey.  From Vince Gill to Carrie Underwood to Lorrie Morgan to Bill Anderson…there was not a dry eye in the place.  The evening was a time of song and stories about the little man who made such a big impact on country music.

Dickens made his last Opry appearance on Dec. 20, a day after his 94th birthday.

Having had the opportunity to experice the Grand Ole Oprey in person, I can attest to Dickens' amazing presense during the show.  His jokes and spry sense of humor had a way of bring generations together.

There's some great footage off all the performances from the memorial online at rollingstone.com
