2. You don't smoke. A study in 2010 found that smokers between 18 and 21 had an average I.Q. of 94 . . . while the average non-smoker's I.Q. was 101. And people who smoked more than a pack a day had an average I.Q. of just 90.
3. You have a cat. A study last year found that dog people tend to be more outgoing. But cat people tend to be smarter.
4. Your mom breast-fed you. Two recent studies found that kids who were breast-fed had I.Q.'s that were seven points higher than kids who weren't.
5. You're tall. This one's controversial, because obviously there are plenty of short people out there who are smart . . . and plenty of tall morons. But a 2008 study at Princeton found that taller kids tend to do better on cognitive tests.

Hunter Hayes Talks Out Loud To Himself, A Lot
The trick I use to remember something important is to say it out loud to myself. Like, "Putting this hundred dollar bill in the front pocket of my skinny jeans." The other people in line at Starbucks may smirk, but screw them it works.
Well, turns out I'm not the only one, because HUNTER HAYES does the same thing. He tells "People", quote "I talk out loud to myself, a lot.
"I walk through things, like when I'm in the studio wiring up mikes I talk myself through the process, like 'Let's do this and now I'm doing this and next I'll do that.' I talk out loud to help myself figure it out. I've always done that, since I was a child.
"People overhear me and laugh at me. That's fine, I accept that. I've always spent a lot of time alone. When you're alone for a long time it's awfully quiet. I just want to break the silence."
There Are Times When Keith Urban Wonders if He'll Ever Write Another Song
I'd like to think successful songwriters like KEITH URBAN are blessed with the ability to sit down and churn out songs, whenever. Obviously, that's not the case.
In fact, there are times when he's convinced the well has completely dried up. He says, quote, "I always find when a record's finished, there's nothing. There's nothing there. I think, 'Oh well, I'll never write another song, that's the end of that.'
"And then at a certain point I start to get a little worried like 'oh, nothing's coming, is that it?'"
Fortunately, he stays the course, because that's what he does. He adds, quote, "And just when it needs to be, it starts to come in. It always happens at a certain point on an album. It just starts to come in, I think, when it's meant to."
