Texas Country artist, Aaron Watson recently paid tribute to the King of Country. Here’s all about it from Aaron’s own words:
“I was honored to be asked by George Strait’s record label to cover my favorite George Strait song in celebration of the release of “Strait Out Of The Box: Part 2” and George’s Texas roots. Probably like you I grew up on and wore out the first one!
Being from Amarillo, TX and loving a great rodeo song, I couldn’t think of a better song than “Amarillo By Morning” when choosing that literally I grew up on and has been in my life since I was a little boy.
Congrats George, you’ve been a huge influence and I appreciate all you have done for country music and Texas. It’s an honor to sing this song.”
