Free Advice: What is FOSY?

Over 50% of Adults Are Dealing with FOSY

You know FOMO . . . the ‘Fear of Missing Out’ . . . but now there’s a new affliction affecting our decision-making. FOSY is the ‘Fear of Saying Yes’, or turning down something because you’re worried about money or don’t feel comfortable or confident.
According to a new survey, a large percentage of adults say they have dealt with FOSY when they’ve decided against doing something that they actually WANT to do. The survey was commissioned by Crodino, a UK-based maker of Italian non-alcoholic beverages. The company has teamed up with psychologist Emma Kenny, who says getting over your fear of saying yes can have a positive impact on your life.
Three out of five people surveyed want to say yes more often in 2023. For example, 34 percent plan to improve their social lives by accepting more invitations to parties and get-togethers.
Have you turned down something lately that you actually regretted? Try saying yes next time and see what happens!
