SAG-AFTRA has revealed the 2026 nominations for The Actor Awards — formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) — for the best film and television performances in 2025. SAG-AFTRA previously announced that Harrison Ford will receive this year’s SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award.

The 2026 Actor Awards nominees, announced by Heated Rivalry breakout star Connor Storrie and Abbott Elementary’s Janelle James on Wednesday, include multiple nods for films including One Battle After Another and Sinners, and top honors in television including The PittThe Studio and Adolescence.

The 15 Actor Award categories are comprised of six in film, and nine in TV.  Categories such as ‘Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role’ (FILM) feature last year’s winner Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme), who will face-off against nominees One Battle‘s Leonardo DiCaprio, Blue Moon‘s Ethan Hawke, Sinners‘ Michael B. Jordan and Bugonia‘s Jesse Plemons.

The ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role’ (FILM) category include nominees Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Chase Infinity (One Battle After Another) and Emma Stone (Bugonia).

Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another and Sinners are all nominated for the top prize of ‘Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture’.

In the television categories, The Studio led the nominations with five nods, followed by Adolescence and The White Lotus with four each.  Best comedy series ensemble nominees are Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building and The Studio; and the best drama series ensemble nominees are The Diplomat, Landman, The Pitt, Severance and The White Lotus.

As to the reason for the name change to ‘The Actor Awards,’ SAG-AFTRA’s official website notes that “we wanted to provide clearer recognition in terms of what the show is about for our domestic and global audiences — we honor actors in film and television. Laser-focusing the name on those two things became the clearest and most straightforward path for this new chapter of the show.”

The 32rd annual  ceremony for the rebranded Actor Awards will  stream live on Sunday, March 1, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Netflix.
