Chris Stapleton sang back up with his wife to the classic song “You Are My Sunshine.”
This song really strikes a chord with me (no pun intended), because I remember my dad singing it around the house in the mornings when I was growing up. Although he was most likely playing on the fact that I have NEVER been a morning person and reacted as a sassy little girl would, I still love the song and the memory.. and my dad!
It is still one of my favorites to sing and play on guitar.
After watching this video, I think my next cover of “You Are My Sunshine” is going to have more of the backwoods, sitting by a swamp in Louisiana kinda feeling.
