As a radio personality, you often find people will ask you to DJ their wedding. It’s not something i’m a fan of. I’ve had some weird experiences. I’ll share mine after a few of these stories from Reddit. The question was posed
Wedding planners of Reddit, what did your worst bridezilla/groomzilla do?
Here are some of the highlights…
My own worst little moment at a wedding wasn’t as much of a Bridezilla thing as it was a “what in the world am I supposed to do?” moment…
In San Angelo I ended up working a wedding for a couple that I had never met. For the most part, it was pretty simple. A couple of drunk people requesting songs, other than that, it was pretty cake. Until it came time for the Father Daughter dance. I got instructions from an uncle or something about 20 minutes before it was supposed to happen. The father of the bride had passed away a few months prior, a friend of the father was standing in for him. So I wasn’t supposed to play a song that was romantic in any way, or something that was about a dad. I don’t know if you have ever thought about it, but that’s like, a LOT of country music. I was panicking. I had no idea what I had in my library to cover and event like this. I ran out of time and went with Craig Morgan’s ‘Almost Home.’The groom came up to my booth during the song and wasn’t happy. I asked what he would would have played. He calmed down right away when he couldn’t think of anything either.
